Asus U41J Notebook Review: The Stylish, Thin and Light Notebook in Good Performance Even with Arrandale Platform

The new Asus U41 notebook series is coming in only one model, the Asus U41J. The new Asus U41J notebook has a high quality aluminum finished lids with Silver and Black color options.Asus U41J is a notebook that still use the platform is equipped with NVIDIA Arrandale. Although it’s not the latest platform, but this notebook still be able to
deliver performance and graphics to play 3D games well.

Asus U41J using a 14 inch LCD screen with 1366 × 768 maximum resolution. With the use of the screen size, dimensions and weighs the same as a notebook with a screen similar size. This notebook uses a matte silver finish casing all over the LCD screen over and black on
the side.Viewing angle is also quite good because the screen does not change the color degradation is excessive when viewed from the left and right. The screen will change color degradation when you see it from the top side.

The notebook powered by an Intel Core i380M Arrandale with 3GB of DDR3 SODIMM memory. The Arrandale is an Intel’s technology before the Sandy Bridge platform, which was introduced earlier this year. Asus U41J provides 640 GB hard drive capacity for storing various data and
multimedia files.

On graphics, Asus U41J using NVIDIA GeForce 425M GT equipped with NVIDIA Optimus for full loaded high details graphics (e.g. 3 D games) , but for daily graphic Asus also provides Intel onboard graphic processor.

The keyboard adopts the chicklet style. Chicklet keys given model is quite large. Unfortunately, the enter button it still feels small and not comfortable for some users. The trackpad provided not so wide, makes users not so freely do the navigation and sometimes annoy users who often do multitouch gestures for making finger movements. While the left-and right-click function is quite soft and no noise when pressed.
The speakers are installed in this notebook is the result of production from Altec Lansing, a fairly well-known speaker manufacturers. The speakers are placed at the top of the keyboard.
Sure, it has pretty good sound quality for average games.

With the NVIDIA Optimus, battery life will be high and the temperature of the entire system will always be maintained because the use of graphics can be done by the Intel GMA which only require low power. Thus, a higher level of ergonomics and you can work longer without being distracted notebooks high temperatures. Beside that it has Altec speakers and USB 3.0 port
