As the world knows, NVIDIA still become the leader in the fastest single-chip graphics card with GeForce GTX 580 (GF110), which is the Fermi-2 generation after improving the GF100. As the leader certainly the graphics card with 580 GTX chip is always dominate and results
good test performance. GTX 580 Lightning Xtreme Edition already has the ability and features for extreme overclocking to the extreme users.

The Vaikoo manufacturer is one of the motherboard manufacturer that used the Nvidia GTX 580 technology by recently introducing the Vaikoo GTX 580 BOM graphics card overclocked edition (extreme clock). One unique fact, the GTX 580 graphics card Vaikoo BOM Extreme Clock is
already armed with a fairly high default clock.

As a pre-overclocked graphics card, Vaikoo GTX 580 Extreme Bomb Clock has already a default core clock is quite high ie 850 MHz to 4196 MHz memory. Although the kitchen runway has been upgraded graphics card, it seems Vaikoo still entrust the standard GTX 580 cooling solution /
reference this graphics card using the Vapor Chamber. The vaikoo price tag at about USD 500.

NVIDIA GTX 580 Features:
* Microsoft DirectX 11
* NVIDIA 3DVision
* NVIDIA 3DVision Surround
* NVIDIA SLI
* NVIDIA PhysX
* NVIDIA CUDA
* NVIDIA PureVideo HD
* 32x Anti-Aliasing
* PCI Express 2.0 x16
* Dual-link DVI-I
* Mini-HDMI

Fan and heatsink are used Vaikoo on this graphics card is technically and physically the same as the GTX 580 is still the reference standard, namely using the method of Vapor Chamber.
We measure the working temperature of this graphics card and run the application Unigine Heaven 2.1. and record the resulting temperature.
* Full-load: 88 ° C (fan speed: Auto).
* Idle: 46 ° C (fan speed: Auto).

Working temperature generated graphics card is quite hot, given the specification of core clock used already using factory overclocked high enough anyway. Needs of the power used is the same as other GTX 580 is a 6-pin +8- pin PCI Power. There is also a port to a maximum
SLI Quad SLI in some motherboards that already support this feature.

Graphics card is equipped with a standard display connector NVIDIA GTX 580 which consists of:
* 2x Dual-link DVI-I connector.
* 1x mini-HDMI connector.

Conclusion
The Vaikoo GTX 580 BOM Extreme Clock with the perfect Nvidia GTX 580 and core clock of 850 MHz is high enough, of course makes the graphics card to be perfect performance.

Affected the use of a high clock, of course there is a price to be paid. Due to the HSF design which used graphics card is still referring to the standard NVIDIA design that was already designed to withstand the load standard clock, the use of high clock with the
standard HSF seems to make the temperature of the resulting work to be quite high. In fact, we experienced several crashes in testing because the temperatures are too hot on GPU graphics card. In addition to temperature, the power used is also becoming quite swollen, up to 50 watts in full load condition.

Pros:
* Most fastest GTX 580 among other products.

Cons:
* Heat enough.
* Poor package design

Multi-GPU configurations using two or more graphics cards is one solution to boost gaming performance. This solution is commonly used by gamers and regular users if a graphics card is not sufficient to run their favorite games with a comfortable frame rate in the eyes.
For those of you who like to play games of the convenience factor is one important factor when gaming bet.

Currently there are two multi-GPU technology from two different manufacturers, an AMD graphics card with Crossfire and Nvidia with scalable Link Interface (SLI). Basically, they using the same technology that combines the capabilities of two or more graphics cards so that the frame rate on games or graphics applications can be increased. Of course, to use multi-GPU configurations required several conditions such as a motherboard that supports multi-GPU configurations, power supply with sufficient power output, and of course the driver with multi-GPU profile right.
Multi-GPU configurations generally use two add-on graphics card or more. But do you know if a multi-GPU configurations can be done using the add-on graphics card and integrated graphics card (onboard)? Both AMD and NVIDIA both have this technology, although it seems that only
AMD that still uses the multi-GPU technology like this.
Hybrid Crossfire is a multi-GPU configurations using onboard graphics card on the motherboard and graphics card add-on. Onboard graphics card that can be used as the HD 4290 on AMD 890GX chipset or HD 3300 to HD AMD 790GX chipset. While the type of add-on graphics card used is usually derived from entry-level classes such as HD 5450.

Continuing with Hybrid Crossfire technology, AMD today introduced the multi-GPU technology called AMD Dual Graphics. Basically how the AMD Dual Graphics are not much different from the Hybrid Crossfire. The difference is the graphics card is now replaced onboard integrated
graphics card on AMD’s APU Llano. This technology already come on the AMD platform Llano A-Series desktop and mobile versions. Although AMD Dual Graphics technologies promise to improve gaming performance, there are some limits on this technology. One of them is the limited types of add-on graphics cards that can be used. Besides AMD Dual Graphics is more optimal if used in graphics applications and games based tenologi DirectX 10 and 11.
By default, Llano wants to be the primary output. So, when you configure your BIOS, set up Windows, and get drivers installed, AMD says use the APU’s outputs. If there’s a discrete card installed, CrossFire gets enabled automatically. At that point you have to install the latest Application Profiles patch, disable CrossFire, shut the system down, and switch over to the discrete outputs. From then on, you won’t see a video signal until Windows loads up. Enable CrossFire, reboot again, and then you should be able to use Dual Graphics. At least once you get there, a Dual Graphics-enabled configuration makes Eyefinity a possibility. Using display outputs from each graphics processor, you can connect three or more displays
in an extended desktop configuration. Just be careful with the outputs you choose. Some motherboard vendors are implementing single-link DVI connectors, while others use dual-link. Of the boards we have here, they all also come with VGA and HDMI; only Gigabyte gives you
DisplayPort connectivity, too.
To run the configuration AMD Dual Graphics (in this case the desktop version) is required add-on graphics cards and AMD’s integrated graphics card on AMD’s APU Llano A-Series. There are two options for an integrated graphics card that is HD-Series 6550D in the A8 in the
A6 and HD-Series 6530D. While the add-on graphics cards that can be used is the AMD HD 6000 series with the highest type, HD 6670. For more details on the configuration of the AMD Dual Graphics, you can see the table below.

Seen in the table above, the configuration of the AMD Dual Graphics are creating a new type of graphics card. As seen on the combination of AMD’s HD 6670 and HD 6550D which creates graphics card called HD 6690D2. HD 6690D2 name seems to indicate the performance of this
graphics card will be above the HD 6670.

Enabling Dual AMD Desktop Graphics version with AMD Dual Graphics Enables feature is quite easy.
Here are the steps:
• First make sure you use the monitor cable connector mounted on a display located on the motherboard.
• Don’t forget to install the add-on graphics card on PCI Express x16 slot before turning on the system.
• Make sure the option “Dual Graphics / Surround View” on the motherboard’s BIOS menu is actived. This option usually appears in the BIOS menu after you install the add-on graphics card.
• The next step is to install the graphics card drivers and reboot your system.
• If the option “Enable Crossfire” on AMD’s Vision Engine Control Center already actived, then a check mark will show on AMD Dual-Graphics has been actived.
• This is the GPU-Z screenshot of the application when AMD Dual Graphics is in active condition.

Using multi-GPU configurations AMD Dual Graphics really delivers improved performance enough. As an example let us look at the performance of the HD 6670 + HD 6550D 6690D2 or the HD. 6690D2 HD performance not only exceeds the performance of HD 6550D but also exceeded the performance of the HD 6670. HD 6690D2 name seems quite appropriate given the performance that was carried over the HD 6670.
Overall, the use of AMD Dual Graphics configuration capable of delivering up to 30% performance improvement over the performance of the add-on graphics card, the graphics application or a particular game.
The results of the above test was also revealed interesting facts. As we mentioned in previous pages, AMD’s Dual Graphics features caused more optimal use in graphics applications or games that use DirectX 10 and 11. In DirectX 9 games, using a configuration makes the AMD Dual Graphics performance is not as firm as if using an add-on graphics card. If most of the games you play are still based on DirectX 9, using an add-on graphics card is a more appropriate choice. AMD Dual Graphics configuration is more appropriate to be used in DirectX 10 games and 11.
An improved performance feature offered by AMD Dual Graphics is quite tempting. But keep in mind to use this feature required graphics card add-on extra that means you have to spend more. Besides AMD Dual Graphics is also more optimal in DirectX 10 games and 11. Yet today
there are many game titles that use DirectX 9 technology.
The configuration of the AMD Dual Graphics is one attractive option to boost the performance of AMD’s GPU at APU Llano A-Series desktop version in addition to overclock the system memory.

AMD had mentioned previously that for its Bulldozer CPU would not be compatible with its AM3 series of motherboards and only compatible with motherboards that have the AM3+ designation. To take the callange, ASUS as one of the motherboard manufacturer leader in the world has released the first motherboard that supports AMD AM3+ CPU chipset on the motherboard with AMD 8-Series. Users who already have the AM3-based motherboards AMD could have the 8-Series AM3 + support the latest processors, simply by doing a BIOS update available on the ASUS official website. The BIOS update available is a beta release.
Visit the ASUS website support ( www.support.asus.com ) for further updates.
.
The latest processors from AMD AM3 + microarchitecture has undergone a redesign of the earlier AMD processors, and provides increased performance over previous generations. Along with this, ASUS committed to providing ongoing support with the latest technology, and became
the first pioneer to bring solutions to meet the needs of motherboard users. ASUS 890FX and 890GX series can be upgraded to be able to enjoy higher performance offered by AM3 + processor.
Naturally, these new 8-core CPUs and their derivatives will use the AM3+ socket so new motherboards will be released to support them.
Enter the 990 series of chipsets, a slightly different spin on the outgoing 890 series. For the purposes of this article we will be concentrating upon the enthusiast-oriented 990FX chipset. The differences between the 890FX and the new 990FX chipsets are much less
significant than the name change would have you believe. Truth be told, the 990FX Northbridge is basically a carbon copy of its predecessor with a slight change in the microcode structure in order to support the unique needs of AM3+ CPUs. It is paired with a 950 Southbridge which is nothing more than a rebadged SB850 chip. Luckily, the SB850 was forward looking enough that changes weren’t necessary as it already supports SATA 6G. Combined, the “new” Northbridge / SouthBridge combination has more enough PCI-E 2.0 lanes to support any current third party USB 3.0 controller as well.

The AMD 990FX and SB950 chipset motherboard has built in support for the following technologies: the AMD Socket AM3 and next-gen AM3+ processor lines; DDR3 memory operating in Dual Channel memory mode up to 1600 MHz officially; and either NVIDIA 3-way SLI or AMD 3-way
CrossFireX graphics mode using matched video cards. ASUS integrated the listed devices in to the Crosshair V Formula: 6 SATA III 6Gb/s ports (RAID 0, 1, 0+1 and 5 capable) on the AMD SB950 controller; 1 SATA III and 1 e-SATA 6Gb/s ports on the ASMedia controller; 12 USB
2.0 capable ports (8 in rear panel, and 2 onboard headers supporting 2 ports each); 6 USB 3.0 capable ports (4 in rear panel, and 1 onboard header supporting 2 ports each); 1 Intel GigE Ethernet port in the rear panel; SupremeFX X-Fi 2 8-channel HD audio codec with integrated
S/PDIF optical output port; power, reset, CPU level-up, and Go buttons; and a PS/2 keyboard / mouse port in the rear panel.
ASUS will also complete the motherboard series, AMD 8 series, and 870 for the 880G chipset with socket AM3 760G also to update BIOS + so that the user also can directly use the + and AM3 processors AM3.
ASUS motherboards that use AMD chips 8-Series comes with overclocking features that have won awards, ASUS Core Unlocker complete feature that has been recognized as a pioneer by leading media in the world, also Turbo Unlocker which offers improved system performance in real-time. To all features designed to help users maximize the overall performance of the systems used.

Ever watch a 3D movie that requires us to wear 3D glasses to get the 3D effect is real? It must have been, and who has never sorry you are unfortunate. Then how if you wear 3D glasses to play PS 3? Is gaming can also look more real? Apparently not. To get a real 3D effect takes
pictures that are designed specifically for use with 3D glasses. And unfortunately on the PS 3 does not provide such feature, either from the PS 3 engine from the game itself. But there is now Bravia TVs (although still a prototype). A TV with a resolution of 1080 pixels that make game play PS 3 we look more real. Bravia TV can process the image with the downside of technology, ie image processing technology so that images can be viewed through 3D glasses to get a real effect.
However, this technology exclusively for the game, so to watch TV shows or movies can still use the Bravia TV. By the end of 2010 Sony has released a Bravia TV to use with game consoles including PS 3. And 2-3 years Sony plans to implement image processing technology into the
gaming console itself. So when will we play games, we can get a real 3D effect using only regular TV without having to use the Bravia TV.

The 3D feature in Gran Turismo 5 (GT5) game is made with optimization for the racing game. Plus the game is played on an HDTV of 40 inch with the display quality is very beautiful. In this game, we can adjust the depth of 3D effect in the Option menu. Greatest depth option is to make all the 3D effects look more solid. However, this turns out to also join forces our eyes to work harder.

3D stereoscopic effect on GT5 priority to the depth on the car that you play and informs HUD that rank in the race and the status of your car. While in other parts, such as the environment and the opponent car looks a bit rough. Although it must admited that the 3D effect is still included for viewing, thanks to the help of HDTVs that we use.

In addition to the racing game, the 3D effects you can feel on the replay and photo mode. Photo mode even gives you the option to take pictures of your race in 3D mode. So, your photo collection will look so real thanks to the 3D stereoscopic effect.

To see the effect on the games that not provide 3D support, we tried to play games without the 3D support such as God of War 3, Final Fantasy XIII, Lost Planet 2, Ridge Racer 7, Infamous, Bayonetta, Heavy Rain, Demon’s Soul, and Nier. All our games can be converted into 3D using 3D simulated feature in the Sony Bravia. Some games, like God of War 3 and Heavy Rain, show the 3D effect is quite noticeable. While other games doesn’t any diffrences or picture quality increase at all.
However, the games do have patches and add-on 3D, such as Ridge Racer 7, shows a fairly good 3D effect.
Overall, playing PS3 games using the 3D stereoscopic effect on Sony Bravia HD TV is very pleasing. Unfortunately, this feature could caused dizzy for some sensitive people’s eyes when watching a movie with 3D effects then play games with 3D effects. In fact, when wearing
3D glasses for long hours is not good for your eyes, because the movement of objects in a game faster than in the film and your eyes also focus on the closer object.

No doubt that such gadget like iPad tablet provides a new sensation in computing activities better than just typing, playing, to surf the Internet. Whatever is done on a laptop or desktop computer can be represented by this one mini device.

Despite offers flexibility in computing, its users deserve to be aware of password theft by using these tools. Hacking activity may be performed using iPad 2 that has been equipped with a camera. When typing in your sensitive information into a website, you know that pretty much every site always mask passwords. One reason for this is to stop people from snooping over your shoulder and stealing your logins. However, a security researcher has figured out a way of seeing past password masks.

Haroon Meer, a South African security researcher that made a special application called shoulderPad that utilizes a camera in the iPad 2 to see the password typed in an iPhone or iPad. The way it works is when someone starts typing a password with the virtual keyboard is in its iPad or iPhone, you can point a camera at the iPad and anything typed on the iPad will be recorded in this application. This may occur because once a person typing with the virtual keyboard, the keys will light touch for a few moments and the keys are lit that recorded by
shoulderPad which has an algorithm to find out what keys have been selected. This proves that despite the keywords you’ve entered is masked by an asterisk symbol (*), it can’t be a guarantee that the passwords of the accounts you have is safe. Haroon Meer’s application
doesn’t disseminate to the public because it realizes that such applications are more vulnerable to abuse. Despite being a threat for users of IOS, something like this could also target other platforms such as Android and BlackBerry also because it has the same concept of
a virtual keyboard.It is appropriate that the tablet PC users started to look around before surfing in cyberspace for the password of the accounts of those securities are not changed hands in the presence of such applications.
Meer’s shoulderPad app analyzes the light given off when a person enters a passcode on the iPad’s touchscreen. From there, shoulderApp, using the built in camera on the snooper’s device, runs the keystrokes through an image recognition algorithm that reads and interprets them to detect exactly what the victim entered. Meer also said the same technology, a combination of traditional spying and futuristic keystroke detection, could also be applied to footage from surveillance cameras.
Thankfully, Haroon is not offering the app to the public, seeing the damage that such technology could cause in the wrong hands. However, it is an eye opener in case you were ever wondering just how safe your information is as you type it out. For those thinking it may be time to get rid of your iOS devices, it’s not just an potential flaw with Apple touchscreen products–researchers at an Italian company have also discovered a similar over-shoulder trick, which can pick up keyboards on Android and Blackberry smartphones too.

Gamers today spoil with the higher graphic details and high performance, to fulfill the needs of gamers enthusiasm specially the mobile gamers. Apparently, this mobile gamers market segment has become important for the computer’s manufacturer, just like this Acer Acer Aspire 5943G Notebook which dedicated for gamers.
Beneath the grey and silver exterior a raging heart beats, because the 5943G calls on an Intel Core i7-740QM chip for its processing muscle (a model with an i5 chip is also available for around £1,215). The i7 sits towards the higher end of Intel’s quad-core line up. It requires more cooling than most of Intel’s other quad-core processors, which is why it’s only usually found in larger entertainment laptops like this model. Twinned with 8GB of RAM, however, it certainly shows what it’s capable of here. In the PCMark05 benchmark test it rocketed along to a score of 7,533, so there’s more than enough power on tap for serious
number-crunching tasks such as HD video editing and gaming.
In fact, it turns out gaming is one of the areas where this model really excels. The i7 processor obviously plays its part, but it’s the ATI Radeon 5850 HD dedicated graphics chip that gives this laptop its skill in the graphics department. This is a hefty machine that
weights in at 3.3kg, and it’s wide too, measuring 382mm from side to side. Suffice to say, if you’re constantly on the move it’s not going to appeal something that’s reinforced by its so-so battery life. In the Battery Eater test it managed to keep chugging along for 1 hour 26
minutes, which isn’t bad for a 15-incher, but not great compared to thin and light alternatives.

Acer Aspire specs are Intel Core i7 – 740QM 1.73GHz, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650, and supported 4 GB of DDR3 memory. Graphics driver version we use is the ATI Catalyst 8.713.3 and operating system Windows 7 (64-bit).

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty
This is the most popular real-time Strategy game that gamers enthusiasm has been waited. On default settings with 1280 × 720 resolutions, Texture Medium, medium Quality Graphics, Shaders Medium, and Medium Shadows. The results were very good and you still enjoy this game with a nice view. The fighting involves a lot of units can be run with a frame rate of about 80 to 30 fps.

Then, we improve the quality of texture and graphics to High and the resolution to 1360 × 768. The results also can still be tolerated and can be played with either. Battle of mass produces about 22 fps frame rate. However, when the battle involves more than 200 units on one
screen, the frame rate dropped dramatically to below 10 fps and difficult to play well. Our suggestion, drop down to medium or low to do battle with a very large number of units.

Mafia II
The latest open world game with the theme of organized crime in the United States in the 40s is more processing power needed to run games smoothly. At first, we tried this game using the default settings at 1280 × 720 resolution, AA level off, Anisotropic Filtering 1x, Shadow
Low, Ambient Occlusion off, Geometry Detail Off, and the APEX PhysX off. The result, games can run very well and still looks fairly good.
Game runs at a frame rate of 50 to 45 fps. We increased this game settings to medium and find the game still runs fine. Frame rate setting that we found in the medium ranged from 40 to 30 fps. Then, we tried setting the high and get a game that is still running well. In this setting, we get the frame rate between 35 to 28 fps.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days
On this game we use 366 × 768 resolution, high resolution textures, levels of AA at 0, Disable Anisotropic Filtering, Shadow Detail High, Ambient Occlusion On, and High Level of Detail. The result, this game runs fine and there is no significant reduction in frame rate when the number of heavy fighting in the area of blast effects. The frame rate ranges at 30 to 50 fps. You can raise Anisotropic filtering without degrading the performance too much.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
There is not much reduction in graphics quality and performance when compared to its console version. To run this game, we tried to use a resolution of 1366 × 768, level AA turned off, High quality graphics, High Resolution Texture On, and Vsync Off. The result is very good,
all the movements are quick and agile prince can be run without any loss in performance and frame rate is also maintained at high levels.
This game runs on a range of frame rates of 60 to 35 fps.

Battlefield Bad Company 2
When tried to use the high setting with 1366 × 768 resolutions, apparently the results comes out very disappointing with the game almost unplayable (frame rate 10 fps). Then, we lowered it to the medium setting and performance increased significantly at about 30 to 40 fps frame rate. After that, we tried to play the advance settings and lower the AA to 1x. The result comes out very good, we were able to play all settings on High with a range of frame rates of 25 to 40 fps.

Conclusion
This highly capable notebook can run all the games that we try with both. Games run smoothly and almost no performance decrease drastically. Level the frame rate is also relatively stable. All conditions that can occur when the temperature of the processor this notebook is maintained relatively low. Unfortunately, at room temperature is not very cold, it’s almost impossible to be achieved.
Temperature heat processor when the notebook is playing the game can reach about 65 to 75 degrees centigrade! The more severe, notebook processors are located just below the WASD keys, which incidentally is the magic button when playing almost any game action! When hot, this notebook’s performance declined quite dramatically in the games that require the performance of processors, such as the Mafia II and all the themed open-world games.

Shortly after the introduction of the Pentium M 620, Intel introduced a new variant of the Pentium M, the Pentium G 840. Let’s take a closer look on it.

Pentium M offers the attractive combination of price and performance.
At the time of the Pentium M 620 test we found that the performance offered by the Pentium M series is qualified, plus the price is quite cheap. Pentium G 840 is the latest variant of the present series Pentium G. We certainly expect an increase in performance given that
Intel will not introduce a new variant without introducing something different to the previous model.

Testing Results

Blender 2.49b
The difference between the two 200 MHz Pentium M produces the difference in performance by 11% in this 3D application. While the Pentium G 840 with 540 i3 seen a difference of 11% for excellence I3 540.

Cinebench R11.5
In this benchmark the performance of the Pentium G 840 Pentium M comes between 620 and 540 I3. Pentium M 840 different 11% above its predecessor Pentium G 620 and 11% below I3 540.

Excel 2010 – Montecarlo
When faced with the benchmarks like more cores and higher clock speed Pentium M 840 seen lagging by 22% from 540 I3. The results are quite reasonable considering I3 540 has 2 cores 4 threads, while the Pentium M 840 has only 2 cores pure.

7-Zip
Pentium M 840 appears to have performance that was disappointing. Only 6-9% of the left i3 2100, but capable to overcome its Pentium M 620 at 9-10% with 8% difference in clock speed. When compared to the first generation i3 visible difference in performance is quite far away,
between 18-23%.

FastStone Photo Resizer
Visible performance increase of 9% of the Pentium M 620 to increase the speed of 200 MHz is quite reasonable. Dropping the Pentium M 840 of 540 I3 on the application is quite reasonable considering the differences in clock speed and number of cores.

Photoshop CS 5
Because it uses a core based Pentium M Sandy Bridge looks capable of passing 840 I3 540 in this benchmark despite losing the clock speed and number of cores. The differences are both at 10%, a significant distance.

WinZip15
The increase in clock speed of 200 MHz from the previous model make the Pentium M 840 is able to pass 540 i3 performance in this benchmark by 3-5%.

Resident Evil 5
Test results as if the game Resident Evil 5 on the test mirror previous games. Even at a resolution of 1360 × 768 Pentium M 840 looks capable of matching the performance of I3 2100.

3DMark Vantage
Pentium M 840 overall take second place in this benchmark, beating i3 540. Although visible behind 20% of competitors in the score but the Pentium M CPU 840 is able to pursue in the GPU test and successfully led 69%.

Conclusion
The Intel Pentium M 840 is an alternative for those who require more speed but in cheaper price. Similarly, the non-K Bridge Sandy others CAN NOT overclock this processor because multiplier is locked and the “FSB” it is hard to be raised. To get more performance you must be willing to spend a little money. The price difference between the Pentium M 620 and 840 is only about IDR 65,000. For users who want to get a faster performing these prices seem small.

The presence of a Pentium M 840 makes an interesting alternative to be adopted. Increase clock speed by 8% (200 MHz) of the Pentium M 620 results in increased performance by nearly 10% in each benchmark. With the difference in price only IDR 65,000 this processor to be
attractive alternatives to want more performance but have a slightly limited funds.

You’ll get special Nvidia’s 3D Vision 3D glasses in the package. Although Acer 5745DG does not come with Optimus, meaning that Intel’s IGP is off all
the time, the battery is pretty good and will last several hours depending on what you’re doing.
One of the most interesting things on the Aspire 5745DG is the 3D capability, courtesy of Nvidia’s 3D Vision. As you know, the flat screen shows only 2D with no depth perception information. When you put the shutter glasses on, however, 3D Vision will make sure that the
user gets a feeling of depth, i.e. the third dimension. Of course, 3D is not only reserved for static pictures and will run good in games as well.

Currently, the 3D movie on a notebook is no longer just a dream because Acer has launched the Acer Aspire 5745DG equipped NVIDIA 3D Vision in the sales package. Acer Aspire 5745DG entered the ranks of notebook class entertainment with a piano finish color and a thin horizontal line of gray on its LCD screen cover. The dimensions of this notebook is quite big because it the use a glossy screen of 15.6 inch 120Hz. You can adjust the size of a full keyboard that is designed like a desktop keyboard. Even so, this notebook has a weight that is roughly equal to notebooks in general. This notebook powered by Intel Core i7 740 Quad mobile. That means you have a HT processor with four cores (a total of eight threads), considerable amounts to a notebook. For hard disk capacity, the Acer Aspire 5745DG provides 640
GB for your data storage.

Weight                : 6.6 pounds

When you look at the specifications above, there are new technologies that are embedded in it. Acer Aspire 5745DG using NVIDIA graphics GT425M series Fermi mobile version that supports DX11. With NVIDIA 3D Vision on the notebook users could experience the 3D sensations and
also good sounds from Dolby Home Theater. Unfortunately, the included media player can’t be used to play movies with certain codecs. With the NVIDIA 3D Vision, you can play games in 3D.

Connectivity includes WiFi b/g/n, gigabit ethernet, HDMI, four USB 2.0 ports and audio in/out (with S/PDIF), along with a DVD burner and multi-format memory card reader. No Blu-ray, however, which seems a bizarre omission on a media-centric machine, nor eSATA, USB 3.0 or
ExpressCard. A webcam above the screen and integrated microphone round out the main specs.
In the box there’s also a set of NVIDIA’s 3D Vision glasses, recharged via miniUSB. These take advantage of the 5745DG’s 120Hz display, synchronizing with an infra-red emitter built into the bezel and flicking the view between the two lenses while the GPU serves up each
half of a 3D image alternately. The end result is a 60Hz 3D picture.

Testing Results

Performance
The use of the latest Intel i7 740QM for mobile platforms on this notebook shows a high value when the benchmark using Sysmark 2007. With this notebook, you can do upper-middle range of applications quite fluently.

Battery Life
From MobileMark 2007 benchmark results that this notebook can survive up to 288 minutes, equivalent to 4 hours more with battery capacity of 9000mAh

Encoding
The use of NVIDIA graphics GT425M has been supports CUDA technology so we did a benchmark on two conditions. First, we do so using the CPU, then repeated again using the GPU. The results, use a faster GPU than the CPU is finished. This shows that the CUDA run quite well on the GPU when doing this job.

Conclusion
There’s no denying that NVIDIA’s 3D Vision technology works, although those who already wear glasses or struggle to remember to charge their phone will likely find the necessary 3D eyewear a frustration. The question we’re left asking is why Acer decided to cut corners on the optical drive, given you’d expect the company to want Aspire 5745DG owners to have access to as much 3D content as possible. With no Blu-ray option, that choice is seriously curtailed. The limitations of the NVIDIA GPU, meanwhile, mean 3D gaming isn’t quite the Acer’s
natural forte either. There are plenty of games that run perfectly well on the GeForce GT 425M, but they’re generally not the most recent and that doesn’t bode well for future 3D titles on the Aspire. Mix in the absence of Optimus technology and its impact on battery life, and you’re left with a fair few compromises for the Aspire 5745DG’s 3D offering.
For most users, those compromises are unlikely to be worth the benefits. 120Hz displays on notebooks are relatively rare today, but as 3D Vision gains traction we imagine that will change; holding off will also give GPUs a chance to catch up and offer more future-proofing for system-intensive gaming. A combination of lacklustre content availability and middling performance leaves the Acer Aspire 5745DG-3855 underwhelming.

Pros:
•    NVIDIA 3D Vision
•    High endurance

Cons:
• Player codec not support all media types and the operation a little difficult.

Beginning with the classic N2100, Thecus has made it possible for NAS technology to find its way into the mainstream.
Recently, Thecus NAS has introduced their latest Graphical User Interface (GUI) version of the Thecus, which planned for all of the latest Thecus products.

Thecus provides its own GUI that can be said to be user friendly. For users of the operating system, of course, never open a file explorer (example in the Windows OS is Windows Explorer) or the control panel of Windows. In addition to shape a better GUI, the functionality of
the GUI admin panel Thecus quite complete. Almost everything needed in the setting of a NAS can be found there. Starting from the setting of RAID, LAN, WAN, Backup, until the USB functionality to an external hard disks and printers.

One thing about this interface is the Thecus are still quite common in the admin panel to operate the NAS. When users do not understand what function they were seeing, the user can just click a help button on the GUI. Help menus are tailored to the currently opened tabs.

The GUI from Thecus also have the ability to install some free module that can add NAS functions like a cloud computer. When you need a module for auto download, you stay Install it manually or automatically.

Conclusion
Interface by the NAS Thecus is easy to be operated by anyone, both professionals and common users. In addition, ordinary users will also get quick free learning on the NAS settings by accessing the help menu that appears on the right side of the screen and shows the help menu
on the tab that is opened. So what’s the difference with other NAS GUI? Basically they are all the same, but in most NAS, usually admin panel only contains links form the standard functions without the help menu. You should find yourself all the terms and functions in the
manual, even had to download it on the Internet.
