Hercules, a specialist in IT devices just launches their new Linux netbook, namely Hercules eCafe Ex HD. The eCafe Ex HD netbook is running on Hercules eCafe Netbook OS which based on Linux OS and offers up to 13 hours’ battery life with the 6800 mAh battery. The machine also support DIP Switch to start another operating system on the machine, it’s easy for developers’ communities to Develop and port new applications and optimize their operating system. These netbooks are different from the common netbooks because they run the ARM Cortex A8 processor and light customization of the OS Linux. This combination helps eCafe EX HD can last up to 13 hours of battery life and boot time instant from standby only 4 seconds.

Hercules ECafe Slim HD
While Slim eCafe HD, only able to survive 4.5 hours of battery life with a configuration similar to the HD EX, and has a smaller battery and only 8GB iNAND capacity flash memory. However, the body is relatively thin with only 0.8-inches thick and weighs just 1.9-pounds.
This slim Smarbook also have access to social networking sites that are always on and features pre-installed software the same and support the various kinds of files such as HD EX.
Other standard specs includes chiclet keyboard with flat and separated keys, their screens can be folded into the body for better screen protection, WiFi 802.11b-g-n, LAN connectivity, three USB 2.0 ports, mini USB port, headphone and microphone jacks and integrated memory card reader which enables the devices storage capabilities to be extended up to 72GB.
