Seagate Momentus 2.5 inch hard drive announced XT claimed the fastest in the world. Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) G73Jh The new Momentus hard drives are packed with this XT. Seagate Momentus hybrid hard drive XT is used for laptops and promising performance as a Solid State Drive, also features both between SSD and HDD. This hybrid hard drives will run 80 percent faster than the speed 7200RPM hard drive.
Seagate Momentus XT has a SLC-based SSD and has 32MB of DDR 3 memory cache. This HDD has a platter for maximum storage (250GB, 320GB or 500GB), together with small SLC-based SSD for faster access speeds.
Adaptive Memory Tteknologi can use the information in flash memory for quick access.
Because it has a 4 GB SSD SLC NAND in it, this XT Momentus hard drive can boot OS 100 times faster than 5400 RPM hard drive. The disk drive has a rotation speed of 7200 rpm and offers 3 Gb / s with Native

The Seagate Momentus XT solid state hybrid drive is a very interesting product. If you run your standard hard drive tests on it, it will more than likely not perform as you would expect it to since they are mostly low level benchmarks. In order to test and see the performance improvements in a drive like the Seagate Momentus XT you can only use benchmark applications like PCMark Vantage and SYSmark 07. We showed
you that in the PCMark Vantage test suite that the Momentus XT Hybrid drive was able to perform more than twice as fast as the Momentus 7200.4 hard drive. This is impressive as both drives feature the same
mechanical hard drive with the exception being the NAND Flash and newer firmware on the Momentus XT.
